Abstract :
The implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) in the education is in the next phase. After the development of the technical infrastructure, introducing the Learning Management Systems into the management of educational process and creating Open Educational Resources (OER), the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are largely discussed nowadays. Engineering education is associated with industry. Fast technology changes required gaining new knowledge after the graduation at the university. There is need for further education. OER and MOOCs can be the tools for its realization. Creating OER is not an easy task for individual universities. A common Slovak educational environment for OER could be a solution according to the OER declarations.
