Abstract :
This paper introduces a technique for choosing a desirable reference temperature profile that is used with an adaptive one step ahead (OSA) controllers for controlling the indoor air temperature of a building. It also presents the results of a simulation study that compares the performance of the above controllers without and with optimization, and demonstrates better performance for the latter.
