Abstract :
In order to select the base stations (BSs) for receive combining, estimation techniques for direction-of-arrivals (DoAs), carrier frequency offsets (CFOs), and cell IDs of neighboring BSs are described for a mobile relay station (MRS) with antenna array, using synchronization signals transmitted from neighboring BSs in the LTE system. The performance of the described techniques is evaluated via simulation in an LTE environment.
