Abstract :
Wireless sensor networks nodes have characteristics of limited energy power and transmission power. Nodes in the network coordinate with other neighbor nodes in forwarding their packets. In tradition GPSR algorithm, energy consumption issue was neglected. In this paper, Advanced GPSR is proposed to resolve energy aware meaning overall network lifetime will increase. By using the concept of energy left level to decide next hop, advanced GPSR is capable of not only in improving the packet delivery success rate but also capable in balancing the nodes in the network to survive longer.
