Abstract :
Performance of the energy detection may be improved by combining the Welch and double threshold method. The proposed method includes an additional process, which revaluates the output power around the reference threshold in order to mitigate the uncertainty of the received signal. Operated with the collaborative sensing, the new method exhibits more reliable performance than other conventional cooperative sensing. We also derive the performance function and perform computer simulations to confirm the validity under Gaussian and fading environments.
