Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to recommend proper applications to users when they need them based on personal situations and common application usages. We propose application recommendation based on the frequency of an application usage and a location. We developed Application Context-Aware Managements (ACAM) system. ACAM server collects user, device, and application contexts such as application usages and locations from users´ devices and then analyzes them. Then ACAM server recommends personalized applications based on the user´s context. We serve the results as an XML format to ACAM clients. In this paper, we demonstrate that the recommended applications are pushed to mobile phones and applied to application launcher on the device.
