Abstract :
This paper shows the frequency limitations of an already fabricated integrated multi-scroll chaotic oscillator based on Floating Gate MOS (FGMOS) transistors. We analyze the effects on the non-ideal slopes and presence of delays in the realization of a saw-tooth nonlinear function using FGMOS transistors. We provide a result showing the value of the positive Lyapunov exponent with respect to the relative delay of the nonlinear function. This result helps us to get insights in order to enhance the operating frequency of chaotic oscillators, as the one discussed herein which nonlinear function, e.g. the saw-tooth one, is designed using FGMOS transistors and integrated circuit technology of 0.5 μm.
