Abstract :
In this paper, we aim to investigate the bit-error rate (BER) performance of a relay network with multiple-antenna users, where the source and the relay are equipped with single antenna. We assume that receive antenna selection is applied at the destination and the amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol is adopted. We firstly derive some asymptotic statistical expressions of the output signal-to-noise (SNR). With them, the approximate BER is presented in a closed-form. We also present the exact BER analysis. Finally, we present the numerical results to verify our analysis.
