  • Abstract
This paper is based on the RFID ticketing in the public transportation. In addition to that we have plan to reduce the TTE (train ticket examiner) work burden in the railway department. Inorder to reduce the work of the TTE, we are using GSM model (global system for mobile communication model) which send the message to the RAC (reservation against cancellation) and also sends the confirmation message to the passengers who and all in the waiting list. In this project we have planned to provide an RFID tag as a boarding pass for the train (not for unreserved compartments). This RFID based ticketing project not only helps the TTE but also it is very much useful for the security purpose of the passengers. Entry of the beggars, Boot-polishers, handicapped beggars, even eunuchs entry can be prevented. Unregistered hawkers (fake name registration) can be prevented.
