Abstract :
For target tracking applications, wireless sensor nodes afford exact evidence because they can be organized and worked near the occurrence. These sensing devices have the chance of cooperation among themselves to increase the target localization and tracking truths. An energy-efficient cooperative target tracing model is established for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). A mutual-information-based sensor selection (MISS) algorithm is implemented for involvement in the mixture procedure. MISS allows the sensor nodes with the highest mutual information about the target state to transfer data so that the energy ingestion is reduced while the preferred target position estimation accuracy is met. In addition, a innovative method to energy savings in WSNs is created in the information-controlled transmission power (ICTP) adjustment, where nodes with additional information use greater transmission powers than those that are less instructive to share their target state information with the neighboring nodes. Imitations prove the performance gains offered by MISS and ICTP in terms of power consumption and target localization accuracy.
