  • Abstract
Painting based cubic VR is a technique that uses elements extracted from paintings to create a 3D visual impression. It breaks the old routine that painting can only take a 2D structure. However, it requires creators to have some knowledge of art and space because of the complexity during its production. The authors have developed a method aided by computational method, to simplify the process. This paper extends the specific method. It proved that both western paintings and Chinese traditional paintings can be used as materials. Essentially, this paper tries to fuse old and new styles of media to express art.
