Abstract :
Cloud computing has attracted widespread attentions in recent years. Real-time Online Interactive Application (ROIA) is also an emerging distributed application. And the research on cloud ROIA is just beginning. Traditionally, Dead Reckoning (DR) algorithm will be used to reduce network traffic and mitigate consistency problem caused by network delay in ROIA. But traditional DR algorithm is mostly based on the classic formula of physics to predict, without taking the influence of the user´s goal under the different situations into account, so there are some limitations. This paper proposes an improved DR algorithm based on target-predicting in a cloud platform for ROIA, and elaborates the basic idea of the improved algorithm and the computational model formula, and then carries out a simulation experiment. The analyses of the simulation results show that the improved algorithm is superior to traditional one. And the result of this study sheds a little light to the related further research on cloud ROIA.
