Abstract
The study aimed to address E-learning practices and pedagogical issues related to the application of e-learning mixed with traditional practices of language learning in Iran. To do so, first, a group of 50 language learners were targeted as the subjects of the study. Next, the actual feedbacks from language learners on E-learning practices and the effectiveness of the practices at the language institute they were learning English were gathered via an open ended questionnaire consisting of 10 items. Then, an analysis focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of employing e-learning for language teaching was conducted based on the collected data from learners. The findings of the study reflected students´ satisfaction with some facets of the E-learning; however, some of the latent threats of employing E-learning in language classes were also revealed. Finally, the study shed light on some of the ingrained weaknesses and threats of employing E-learning in language classes and proposed some solutions for tackling the existing problems.
