Abstract :
In this paper, we first give the characters of FY-3A/VIRR data and its application in monitoring the fire. An improved method using visible channels thermal infrared (TIR) channels and solar reflectance channels to realize radiometric calibration, atmosphere correction, geometric correction, potential fire point identification and based on the background window fire detection. The fire detection of fires in Shanxi Province in 2013 reveals the improved fire point algorithm has higher sensitivity to small point. Improvement of accuracy provides powerful support for the fire early warning and elimination.
