  • Abstract
In this paper, mathematic description of a three-phase Switched Reluctance Drive (SRD) is analyzed based on a nonlinear magnetic flux model, which is newly proposed by making use of exponential function. Three frequently used circuit models for simulating batteries are comparatively discussed. The asymmetric half-bridge converter and GNL circuit model are then adopted to investigate the influences from battery on dynamic behaviors of SRD. Based on proportional control method, the simulation analysis is carried out to explore the differences of operational behavior. The curves of output variables and their phase trajectories are comparatively addressed in terms of different parameters of the circuit model. The simulated results indicate that the battery impedance has obvious impacts on the operational performance of SRD systems, which implies that suitable control method is required to eliminate unexpected influences.
