Abstract :
Energy consumption is rising sharply due to the large deployment of the Home Base Stations (HeNBs) by subscribers, it not only brings the cost burden to operators, but also brings the pollution to the environment. Now the energy efficiency (EE) researches on HeNB are based on the algorithms about the adaptive power or the spectrum utilization, rarely consider the collaborative sleeping scheme to save the energy in the femtocell networks. This paper presents a collaborative sleeping scheme to aim at the problem about wasting resources in the femtocell networks system. In the environment of HeNBs densely deployment, the proposed scheme will turn the unnecessary HeNBs into sleep mode, and only the neceesary HeNBs are still in the active mode, which aims to save the energy in the networks. Then, we evaluate the user´s quality of service (QoS) under different factors. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme not only improves the QoS of the femto user (HUE), but also enhances the capacity of the system and saves the energy.
