Abstract :
As the use of smartphones become more widespread, people begin to utilize smartphone applications to deal with their social interaction. Although smartphone provides many communicative applications for real-time voice or video telephony, it still faces the social behaviour missing problem. Without face to face interaction, people may fail to detect the other side´s non-verbal social behavior such as fine-grain facial expressions, body movements, or hand gesture. During social interaction, non-verbal behaviour conveys imply information of the involved individuals and help the speakers express their social attitude in an indirectly way. It is so important for real-world face to face interaction but often missing on the mobile telephony. To cope with this problem, we propose a social computing model to assist the representation of social emotion and then help the progress of social interaction happened on the mobile telephony. The experiment result approves the feasibility of our proposed system on the applications of social computing. Moreover, the system provides a research prototype of the social intelligent system for the mobile telephony.
