Abstract :
Virtual assembly is one of important apply of virtual reality in complex mechanic design, manufacture and maintenance. Through virtual assembly, people could solve limited problems in mechanical design and manufacture. Taking WP-7 aero engine and ARJ-21 pilot seat as research examples, in this paper, designed a new virtual assembly method, which is based on virtual-real fusion technology of engine components and which is more helpful for integration between computer simulation and real environment. This method can be used not only in machine assembly, maintenance and training, but also in engineering prototype iterative design.
