  • Abstract
The following project shows the development and implementation of a machine to automatize the production process of potato chips, departing on the fact that there are small industries based on the product that has rustic manufacturing methods, being sometimes inefficient representing risks. for the operator such like: burns with oil, cut by the handling of sharp implements, among others. For this reason a machine was designed and implemented composed by three stages of production: peeled, sliced and. fried, controlled by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). For the integration of each of its sections it was necessary made adjustments of the initial design, modifying the structural and electronic design. Finally, to validate the efficiency of the automated machine, there were performed tests of functionality and time of execution.
