Abstract
The planar spiral antenna being connected with the waveguide and operating in the millimeter wave range is proposed. The antenna has the bandwidth of 16.2 GHz and the axial ration which does not exceed -3dB in the frequency band 24.2 - 38 GHz. The radiation pattern shape is practically the same within the operational frequency band. The nature of axial ratio changing is explained from the analysis of near-field distributions at two orthogonal polarizations.
