Abstract :
Location-based services or robotic system control are becoming more and more popular and these systems demand exact knowledge of the mobile party locations. Especially in indoor environment is difficult task to do proper estimation on the position. In our paper, we present two various methods which are based on field strength measurement (Least Square Error Method and Particle Filter ) and where we use RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) of ISM band radio transceiver modules. The field strength is evaluated by an empirical propagation model which is tuned by ray tracing based technique. This method enables the simultaneous localization and motion tracking.
