Abstract
Free Space Optical communication links transmit information by laser light through an atmospheric channel. In this paper an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of atmospheric turbulence on performance of free space optical communication system. Here we have considered aperture averaging and spatial diversity techniques to improve the system performance in log-normal channel under OOK modulation. Performance evaluation is made in terms of average bit error rate.
