Abstract :
This paper presents a closed-loop control system for tuning the antenna matching network using power measurements in the transmit mode. Three methods are proposed as the basis of the control system to improve the efficiency of signal transmission via adaptively adjusting the scattering parameters of the matching network in real-time. The proposed adaptive match system is analyzed thoroughly using an in-house prototype comprising a parallel-LC network with two tunable capacitors. Detailed complexity analyses of the proposed methods are also presented.
