Abstract
Accuracy of a position and velocity estimation in a multisite Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW) radar system is evaluated using Cramér-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB). Comparison between monostatic and multistatic system configurations is made. Both autonomous and cooperative modes in monostatic system are considered. It is shown that a multistatic approach gives better measurement accuracy compared to a monostatic one. Exploitation of the cooperative mode enhances potential accuracy of a monostatic system as well.
