Abstract :
In this paper, a method is proposed to obtain a uniform illumination from multiple light sources using Zemax software. The angle of light distribution and light intensity of the Light Emitting Diode (LED) product are considered as important parameters to produce an appropriate design to be simulated by Zemax. The simulations demonstrate the relation between the reflector shape, angle of reflector with the LED lamp base and the distance between the reflector and the LED with the illuminance. The results of these simulations show that pair of LED with plane side reflector at an angle of 45° with the lamp base and 3 mm from the LED edge gives the best illumination pattern. Therefore, these values have been used to design a LED lamp with 19 LED pairs, plane side reflector and 63.856 mm pitch size to find out that the coverage width is 3166 mm and the peak illuminance has maximum value of 197.331 lux and minimum value of 177.598 lux which are within the recommended range of luminous.
