Abstract :
The closed-loop control model of the active power filter (APF) is derived and analyzed in this paper. The analysis reveals the mechanism of the dynamic characteristics of this control method and indicates its poor performance in the 400Hz applications. Based on the classical control theory, the load active current feedforward compensation is introduced to solve the problem. The control principle and key parameters design are described. The simulation and experiment show that with feedforward compensation, the source current is responding well to the load change. The 400Hz aeronautical active power filter gets a good dynamic performance.
