Abstract :
A quadratic high gain boost converter (QHGBC) with a diode-capacitor snubber circuit is discuss in this paper. Combined reboost and boost schemes, coupled inductor and charge-pump circuit is proposed to achieve high voltage gain. A front reboost inductor is proposed to increase the voltage gain to achieve the quadratic function. The output stage DC snubber circuit is proposed to recycle the energy in the leakage inductance to make the voltage conversion ratio higher and suppress the spike for reduced the device stress. The operation principle of the proposed conversion scheme is described in the detail circuit analysis. Simulation and experimental results are demonstrated to verify and validate the QHGBC performance.
