  • Abstract
    In this work a ray tracer program to simulate radar waves propagation is proposed. The program is capable of, given a complete geometrical description of an ideal 3D scenario, simulating the propagation of the probing electromagnetic waves by means of ray tracing technique. After that the program can provide radar measurable parameters for targets, like range and Doppler frequency, in presence of multipath caused by reflection or scattering from obstacles. These results are useful for interpretation of measured results, radar software development, planning radar networks deployment and radar networks management.
