Abstract :
In this paper, a modified 2D time-frequency minimum variance spectral estimation method has been applied to non-stationary micro-Doppler signal of radar targets. Pulse Doppler radar has been employed to capture returns from targets possessing vibrating sub-parts which cause micro-Doppler phenomenon. The aim is to obtain a high resolution time-frequency representation of the acquired micro-Doppler radar signal for use in feature extraction for the purpose of automatic radar target recognition.
