Abstract :
The paper presents results of analysis of a helicopter echo in a passive radar based on DVB-T transmitter of opportunity. It contains theoretical study of the main rotor echo model and results of processing of recorded signal. The authors have shown that a radar using DVB-T signal is able to detect the helicopter rotor echo and estimate the characteristic parameters such as main and tail rotor revolution period and blade end linear velocity. As a result, extracted parameters can be further used for target classification.
