Abstract
Recent modeling approaches were developed to provide a suitable design for Data Warehouses (DW) and Spatial Data Warehouses (SDW) without taking into account spatial decision maker (DM) needs. The generated results are generally not appreciated by DMs. We develop in this paper a spatial DM based approach that integrates automatically DM´s standpoints while fulfilling numerous requirements. We use the Model Driven Approach (MDA) in order to automatically generate the design of SDW. Our approach is designed in such a way that the first MDA model scans DM´s needs. The second MDA model describes the design of SDW. Then, we make a set of automatic transformations between the two models using the standard Query View Transformations (QVT). Finally, we propose an application describing a DM´s needs and the generated design of SDW.
