Abstract
In this research work, the Authors propose a Direct Torque Control scheme applied to a Self Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) associated with a wind turbine system. The turbine is used to drive the SEIG in order to feed an isolated DC load. It receives the required active power from the generator through a force commutated rectifier (FCR), DC bus and a buck converter. The models of the system components are developed and used in the system control scheme. The generator and the turbine dynamic performances are analyzed. The simulation results of the system entire control have shown that the proposed methodology is an efficient and promising control procedure.
