Abstract
In many applications the required power density increases with a decreasing packaging size. The segmented stator topology facilitates a high filling factor and therefore an increase of the power density of the stator. To be flexible in regards of different segmented BLDC stator topologies and dimensions, product quantities and due to reduction of investment cost a shared stator production line for a wide range of different BLDC motors was developed and transferred into production. This line makes it possible to share the high quality of high degree of automation with relatively low quantities of individual stators by using it for different applications.
