Abstract :
This paper presents a survey of reducing surface waves in printed and microstrip antennas on substrates which may be electrically thick, as would be the case for printed antennas at millimeter wave frequencies. The surface wave loss is one of the well-known problems that researchers around the world are trying to overcome. This paper defines the problem and describes the main techniques proposed to reduce surface waves in MSA´s.
