Abstract :
Steganography is a major research area for hiding secret messages. In this paper we propose a novel steganography technique by manipulating varying number of bits of the cover image. The algorithm stores varying number of bits in each channel depending on the intensity value of the cover image. This provides maximum capacity for every cover image with minimal visible distortion from the original cover image. We also propose a new encryption technique using PNG lossless decompression.
