Abstract :
In this paper the performance of Cooperative-Cognitive Networks is analyzed using the Double Threshold Energy Detection algorithm. Introducing Double Threshold Energy Detection improves the spectrum detection accuracy and also it reduces the noise uncertainty. Monte Carlo Simulation is performed to show the significant improvement in the performance of Cooperative-Cognitive networks for proposed algorithm over Nakagami-m fading channels and using Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) on the receiver. The results show that the proposed algorithm effectively improves the Collision Probability at a cost of little decrease in Detection Probability and Probability of spectrum unavailable.
