Abstract :
Driven by various broadband applications, data center has become one of the most important service resources, connected by IP and optical networks. Then how to use the service resource and network resource together effectively will become the research focus. Towards realizing this goal, this paper proposes a unified control system for heterogeneous networks, which is implemented with Software Defined Networking (SDN) enabled by OpenFlow protocol. Data center, IP network and optical network resources can be abstracted as unified resource interface. NOX based controller can make full use of these resources, and provide the user with different kind of services. Remote demonstration is first accessed and presented with large scale multi-layer and multi-domain networks.
