Abstract
This paper demonstrates an application of the dynamic network reduction for stability and inter-area-oscillation analysis. The static equivalents are formed using the REI technique (Radial, Equivalent, Independent). The machine parameters are calculated using power distribution factors. This method is applied on a 1475 bus network and the inter-area-oscillations of the reduced network are compared with the original network.
