  • Abstract
Edutainment robots combined with visual programming languages (VPLs) have lent a helping hand in learning programming easily and amusingly. If computer vision techniques can be added to edutainment robot systems, they will strongly support educational benefits. In this paper, we fused three basic computer vision algorithms - detection of brightness, motion and color - with a VPL for a commercial edutainment robot. We also implemented this technique into three exemplary applications - line tracer, motion game and color mark tracking - and confirmed their proper execution on robots.
