Abstract
A three-port multi-function reconfigurable microwave component based on a switchable FET circuit is proposed and demonstrated. The component consists of the interconnection of three common-gate anti-parallel FET circuits. It can be reconfigured by FET biasing control voltages to provide different microwave functions, including attenuation, isolation, M-pole N-Throw switching, power combination, and power division. The proposed concept can be generalized to an N-port network, allowing very reconfigurable for software defined radio (SDR) wireless communication systems.
