Abstract
This paper reviews different methods of indoor-localization in conjunction with the fingerprinting technique. This is done relying only on WLAN in the building and a database of fingerprints. Various techniques like typical carrelation, measuring with directional antennas, and finding the actual position with the help of the Viterbi-Algortihm are investigated. First results show the advantage of including the history of the pathway for moving objects. In some cases equipment with directional antenna outperform the correlation method.
