Abstract
Aphasia, this is a mostly common disease in stroke survivors. It can impair the person´s ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing, but not the intelligence. Aphasic patient needs to receive speech therapy. But the formal speech therapy may have some limitations and shortages. It is very time consuming for this one-to-one treatment. Besides, we need a lot of speech therapists for aphasic outpatients. In order to solve this problem, this investigation developed an assisted program to treat at home and design some experiments to improve the effectiveness in Taiwan. The experimental procedure adopted a typical procedure called ABA experimental design and found 30 words to treatment at home. Finally, collection and conclusion of the result data. The result shows higher improvement in correct rate and reaction time. So we conclude that using assisted program to treatment at home is feasible and really increase the treatment frequency for outpatients.
