Abstract :
Dispensing processes are usually set up for specific ranges of viscosities and their related achievable resolution. This fact is closed to an increasing number of limiting parameters depending on the printing resolution. Many parameters of dispensing system are less important and don´t have such impact on the final print quality in the case of printing with a resolution worse than approximately 250 μm. Resolution under this imaginary limit progressively increases susceptibility of the print output quality on a wide range of entering parameters. A new principle of dispensing system is able to achieve desired line width under 100 μm. This result is obtained by using of a commercial thick-film paste through the new type of dispensing head, which gives a possibility to decrease resolution below 50 μm. New chuck was developed for precise fixation of the base substrate. Print tip for this purpose must copy the surface of the substrate with an accuracy of 5 μm, at the distance in the range from 20 to 40 μm. This highly accurate printing method does not depended on a comprehensive dispensing system made for this purpose. It is possible to use special printing head for deposition on standard used equipment to achieve described resolutions parameters. The presented results were achieved by using of dispensing robot Fisnar F4200 with axis motion resolution 1um and the repeatability ±20 μm / axis. The method is designed for the specific requirements for samples with high density motives, for prototype printed substrates, and for many other applications.
