Abstract
This paper revisits the conventional space vector based PWM modulation technology and predictive current control methods for a 2L-VSI. It presents a new means to directly map the space vector representation to the duty ratios of power switches through the use of two key parameters h and k. The solution of the two key parameters is derived by the concept of virtual switching state that is employed to aid the geometric analysis. Consequently, a unified approach to implement the SVPWM and the pulse generation of predictive current control is derived. Also experimental results are demonstrated to show the success of the proposed algorithm.
