Abstract :
For an auxiliary power supply (APS) in low-voltage (LV) inverter, a flyback converter with 1500-V Si MOSFET has been used. As the input voltage range gets wider and the required output power increases, however, Si MOSFET-based APS has reached its limitation in terms of efficiency and power density. In order to further improve the performance of the flyback solution, SiC-based APS is investigated in this paper.
