Abstract :
In this paper, a voltage multiplier cell applied to high-step-up dc-dc converter with ripple free input current is proposed. The voltage multiplier cell is inserted in the conventional interleave boost converter with cascade Three-Level (TL) boost converter, which offers high voltage transfer function. The voltage multiplier cell and TL converter makes the voltage stress of all the semiconductor devices lower than the output voltage of each step. Furthermore, the input current ripple closes to zero when the interleave converter´s duty ratio is 0.5. The circuit configuration and operation of the proposed converter are described. The circuit operation has been confirmed by circuit experiments.
