Abstract :
Particle Accelerators have always been a driving force in the development of novel approaches in power converter regulation. The combination of high demands regarding precision and dynamics enforce the deployment of various power converters families, while the resulting complexity in the overlying accelerator control system has to be kept at a minimum. Therefore, we propose a novel regulation system that is flexible enough to cover all DC, waveform driven and pulsed power converters of the MedAustron Ion-Beam accelerator, while offering a transparent interface to the accelerator control system.
