Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is collection of sensor nodes which are distributed in the specific area. These nodes are capable of sensing environmental condition. Sensor becomes suddenly active in response to monitoring or targeting event. The information in transit has greatest importance. This heavy data generated by source node in response to generated event causes Congestion in the sensor network. Congestion causes packet drop, buffer overflow, wastage of energy of sensor node. Congestion is most addressable problem of WSN. For successful data dissemination to sink congestion must be control. To control congestion, either reduce traffic from source or utilize more resources. Reducing source data sending rate will cause an impact on throughput of network. In this paper we propose a resource control method to control congestion in WSN. Simulation results show that better performance in term of packet delivery ratio and throughput.
