Abstract :
This paper seeks to explore the use of internet media for healthcare and cancer awareness by young adults. This aspect of user-centric learning control is to motivate individuals to be more aware of their health, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Social media is known for its power to spread the news and knowledge about healthcare to users, because of its seamless connection to people and materials at anytime and anywhere. Healthcare and cancer preventive knowledge can be shared and spread through social media. Fifty-four students in a higher learning institution were asked to provide their thoughts on the use of Internet media for healthcare. Findings indicate that young adult uses the social media from the internet as a source to learn and share their healthcare knowledge.
