Abstract
Performance appraisal is an important work in large-scale instruments management. To establish a scientific and objective evaluation index system is the key of the work. Two types evaluation for general and special instrument were practiced in a university in Jiangsu province. Summing the score of scientific research and service income was of benefit to the equipment which in the research could provide more research achievements, the equipment which in social service could provide the income. On the weight, general-type instrument and special-type instrument also varies. The research achievements are identified by the scientific research management department, while the relationship between the scientific research achievements and the equipment is identified by the secondary college academic committee.
